Re: La Salle Explorers
Cletus, are you still planning on moving to London? Let me know what areas you are looking at to live and I will give my----best word is opinion, but I don't like it, I can tell you what kind of neighbourhood it is. Please consider sending your children to a good English school rather than an American or International school, you would be very happy at the standard of education.

I'm still trying to make it happen. If I don't get it worked out by the fall, I doubt it will happen.CAT wrote:Cletus, are you still planning on moving to London? Even as an urban East Coaster, I can see the coastal bias is way too strong in that list. It's like they just took a marker and started in Michigan and drew straight down.

Spent the last week I Yellowstone. Excellent! Outstanding vacation! I highly recommend to one and all, getting to Yellowstone (at least for a couple of days) should be on everyone's bucket list.

It's a pity the caldera didn't blow last week.

Maybe not, but the volcano heated up the road so much that if we had stayed any longer we would have been stuck.

We were at that point just 2 hours earlier.

I was going to say too bad you weren't posing for a picture when I boiling geyser erupted directly beneath you, as your fambly looked on horrified. Granted, it would almost be worth the world's destruction to see you end with it (see: the caldera blowing), but it would be better if you just died alone...

I doubt IB's wife would be too bent out of shape if she saw him die. Her reaction would probably be much like that of George Costanza after he learned that Susan died from glue poisoning.hedge wrote:I was going to say too bad you weren't posing for a picture when I boiling geyser erupted directly beneath you, as your fambly looked on horrified. In Troy Michigan this week which has pretty much eaten up all my "internet surf" time.
Did play Whirly Ball last night which was something new for me.

Re: La Salle Explorers
Bucket List: 5 last states to visit. Alaska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Montana.
Spent all day writing my final Tuesday, gave it yest, graded the multiple choice last night, conference today (in New Orleans on Brownsfields clean-up), and then have to grade and complete by Saturday.
Leaving out on Sunday to take a cruise to Alaska with my parents and my 4 siblings with most of their kids. Leaving my kids behind.
Will be one more down.

Re: La Salle Explorers
I've been to all states except Delaware, Maine, and R.I. Of those, Maine seems like it's worth a visit.
Liked Alaska. The mosquitos in the summer are crazy. Ditto ND...but the Teddy Roosevelt National Park is awesome. I love Medora, ND. Kinda like an old west town in a way...and it's close to Montana, so can strike two off your list.
South Dakota, Sturgis during bike week is worth a look, but only if you like camping. Won't be able to get a hotel for well over 150 miles. Rushmore is disappointing (to me, anyway).
Nebraska: Lincoln and see a game in the Fall. Classy fans (Wiz is an outlier), and great hosts.

24 years ago as an entry level auditor I had to spend the month of January in Lincoln Nebraska. I left the firm 3 months later.

Been on three Alaskan cruises. Loved them all, you will have a great time. Enjoy and relax.Owlman wrote:Bucket List: 5 last states to visit. Alaska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Montana.
