awkward conversation for the day

me: hey, I noticed employee X's hire date was 1974, we need to recognize his 40 years of service next week at our event

employee X's boss: I wouldn't do that, I'm firing him this Friday

me: umm...I ordered a cake already
I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

You should tell the guy to call in sick on Friday and tell him not to answer the phone all day.

But if he seems like the postal kinda guy that might blow up the building, then you should call in sick.
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

Depending on whether or not you include abortion doctor assassins as domestic terrorists, I think they have taken the lives of more people in the US than foreign "jihadists" have.

Per wiki:

In the U.S., violence directed towards abortion providers has killed at least eight people, including four doctors, two clinic employees, a security guard, and a clinic escort.[8][9]

9/11 was just a tad bigger than that.

Well, I didn't say they were the biggest contributor, just a contributor. My guess, without looking at the numbers, Timothy McVeigh is the highest weighting of the attribution. Lord knows if I include southern lynchings after 1920...

I take it back. I did my research and that 3,000 on 9/11 eclipses the 200 (I did include the Alabama church bombings...but no way I was gonna try to pull lynching numbers).

Disappointed.

You're right, I'm just tired...and still in the office (4th day in a row working past midnight). I'll bring a better game next week.

Is the Oklahoma City bombings considered a domestic terrorism event? How many were killed there?

Also, Waco and Ruby Ridge.....oh wait.

Goin' all Ruby Ridge on the tea party would be too obvious. I suggest a little more subtlety, perhaps a Kristallnacht II.

Yes. 168. By far the biggest single act in our history wrt "domestic terrorism."

It was an action motivated by politics and ideology. Definitely domestic terrorism.
