JD may want a mulligan on the last sentence. The rest of it - the GOP war on women - was spot on.
I never thought IB was serious about taking away all women's right to vote. Until he mentioned it around the 50th time..

Re: Puterbac News Network and Political Discussion Thread
What exactly is the Repub War on Women? What are the republicans proposing to initiate this war? As it is, I see no real difference in the two parties outside of campaign rhetoric - and I haven't noticed much anti-woman stuff from either camps' empty campaign promises.

Take away the "uteruses need legislating" and you just described the hip hop culture.Johnette's Daddy wrote:No, first we scream "the Republicans need to stop their War on Women." When women are portrayed alternately as simple-minded creatures incapable of self-determination or as shameless whores whose uteruses need legislating, it is inevitable that some socially awkward dweeb will snap and shoot when he encounters a woman who doesn't succumb to his whims.sardis wrote:It's funny that when a young man feels if a woman refuses to have sex with him that she should die, liberals will first scream, "we have a gun culture problem!"
No, I don't think guns are the problem here.
And somehow I doubt this kid was even one iota close to any "Republican" culture.

Clearly, you know nothing about hip hop culture. They portray women as scheming, conniving gold diggers and/or emasculating harridans, not as simple-minded creatures incapable of self-determination.sardis wrote:Take away the "uteruses need legislating" and you just described the hip hop culture.Johnette's Daddy wrote:No, first we scream "the Republicans need to stop their War on Women." No, I don't think guns are the problem here.
1 - Raised in the lap of luxuryAnd somehow I doubt this kid was even one iota close to any "Republican" culture.
2 - Attended college in a county where 2.2% of the population is Black
3 - owned a bunch of guns
4 - resented white women who dated black men
5 - confronted by law enforcement, who didn't bother to search him or his apartment when they saw he was white and drove a beemer.
That's Republican enough for me.
And, in the spirit of Rush Rove and Karl Limbaugh, I will now double down on my "it's all the GOP's fault" comment. The GOP has created such a climate of "everyone is against white men with our tiny peckers and lack of rhythm - we need to stand up and do something before all of our daughters marry mud people and our grandkids grow up speaking Mexican and living on food stamps" rhetoric that it is normative thinking for talk radio.
Plus, it is a known fact that socially awkward dweebs vote Republican 75% of the time.

Even if Jeffrey Dahmer had worked for Clinton '92, there is no way any sane person could make a connection between cannibalism and the democrats.
There is a line that you can cross that is more than just being a biased and partisan shill - a status that renders you as someone not be listened to or taken seriously -IB hit that long ago. It's a shame that someone I enjoyed reading appears to be joining the list. Maybe it's a parody. If so, it's too far.

I sure hope its a parody because it would be good.
The kid was actually poor whose mother only made 40k and his dad couldn't afford child support because he sunk all his money in an anti- religious documentary.

Given the high concentration of Tea Partiers, Mysogynists, Birthers and Gun Nuts on PNN, that makes me a solid moderate in real life.

As usual, the numbers get revised, with less fanfare. But this is no surprise given the policies of this admin....MORE QE!!111
The Commerce Department said Thursday that the economy shrank at an annual rate of 1 percent in the first quarter, revising down its initial estimate last month, which showed a very slight gain for the period. It is the first quarter in three years in which the nation’s output of goods and services has contracted.
Cue Tick touting the great reduction in the latest unemployment figures.
