She's Brazilian. Of course she has.sardis wrote:They way Natalie Morales lifted her shirt there at the end of that clip shows she's had lots of practice with that maneuver...
I"m trying not to be a Bundy defender on the grazing fees thing but the BLM determined that in order to save the desert tortoise they were going to only allow him to graze 150 cattle from the 900 or so he had to be a profitable ranch. I know boo fucking hoo , the government is always right - but while other cattle ranchers folded up shop, he said no I"m not going to do this, this is my life.Owlman wrote:Actually, he's been refusing to pay the grazing fees for some 20 years. He owes over a million dollars. He's lost in court on multiple occasions. What he's claimed is that it was his land because it was in his family for generations. This is a false statement on his part. The fact is, the amount they charge for grazing fees on public land is $1.35 per cow/calf while on private land it's $16.80. But Bundy doesn't believe he should pay even this.
This was not an overreach on the part of the govt. This was a man who basically doesn't want to pay his already govt subsidized payments because he "doesn't recognize the federal govt" even as he waves and American flag. This is a person refusing to pay for what he uses (at a discount, no less) with friends with guns pointing at govt officials doing their job.
Send out the SWAT and take them out like they were brothers in the city.
if the BLM had allowed him to continue use of the land as he had prior to 1993 or whenever, then it would be a case of some guy just trying to put one over and freeload.hedge wrote:"and admittedly I'm only know enough to be dangerous about it, but I can say with conviction that this isn't as simple as the man refusing to pay grazing fees for the last 20 years."
That last part seems pretty damn simple to me...
