Re: Florida State Seminoles
I had a friend commit suicide in '06. She had been on a coke binge. She was coming down at her parents home, had a huge argument with her mom and decided to blow her brains out with a 7mm magnum hunting rifle. She had attempted suicide a few months prior with pills.
I proudly took AFAM 040 at Carolina.

Re: Florida State Seminoles
My wife's sister had a bf commit suicide by hanging himself and they didn't find the body for several days. They were all friends with him and I hate to sound harsh but my god, this was 30 years ago and they still use it as an excuse for her bad behavior.
I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

I know someone with the same scenario except her boyfriend killed himself 10 years ago. She's a train wreck, but everyone bails her out because they still feel sorry for her over the situation.

well from my experience, unless they stop, she is just going to continue a cycle of bad decision after bad decision, and once or twice a year at opportune moments, she is going to bring up how sad she is over the death of that BF just to keep things in check for her.

The worst part is being the one who finds them.

Some people are just aggrieved parties in general, they can turn every event or occasion into a cause for alarm or worse. And a suicide is about as good as it gets for this type of personality. Not saying suicide isn't a cause for alarm even in the most understandable of cases, but you know what I mean...

Revenge his foul and most unnatural murder.
Murder!
Murder most foul, as in the best it is;
But this most foul, strange and unnatural.

I heard that Stu's an aggrieved party.
Sure, I could have stayed in the past. I could have even been king. But in my own way, I am king.

He is, but to his credit, his general response to aggrievement is rage, not self-pity...

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

You can exchange "adolescence" for "old age" in Stu's case...

Re: Florida State Seminoles
The day Stu got married, I went with him to the grocery store to get last minute supplies for the wedding. Chips, dips, beer, flowers, that sort of thing. He was highly agitated, as usual (actually far more than usual), which I of course exploited for my own pleasure. He was racing around, grabbing this and that, and I was mockingly trying to calm him down which of course was only making him more and more enraged. He put a 6 pack of beer in the bottom of the cart and continued flying around the store.
I was on the next isle, half-heartedly looking for stuff for the wedding party, when I heard a loud crash. Stu had flown around a corner so fast that the 6 pack of beer in the bottom of the cart flew out and burst on the floor. I could barely contain my glee, although I knew that Stu's rage had readed the point of eruption at that point (I understand that those two phenomena – his rage and my glee – were intricately intwined). We met in the checkout line and I tried to make small talk, much to Stu's outrage.
He had some flowers in the cart and I made some lame suggestion about something, I can't remember what, and he grabbed the flowers and smashed them on the checkout counter. At that point I couldn't even taunt him any further (a first), and just stood there in statue-like silence, the palpable discomfort of the checkout girl completing the scene, and basked in the nimbus of his rage.
It was a good day...

10 years later you should have realized the reason for my rage that day. I knew I was being dragged into the pit of hell...

Re: Florida State Seminoles
yea, I'd say seething rage over buying beer and flowers is a definite red flag on your wedding day
