Is there a specific place of recommendation in SF Mission district I should target next week?

La Cumbre at 16th/Valencia is one of the oldest and best.

it's in the "safer" part of the Mission. El Farolito also claims to be oldest SF taqueria

If you can get to Tartine Bakery (18th and Guerrero) for breakfast, do so. It's awesome. The morning bun is the best. Mission Chinese Food (16th and Mission) is really good as well. It's probably not safe but they crank out some really good stuff.

It was more of a riff on the fact that Bush 41 won in a landslide with 60% of the white vote...and Romney loses with the same percentage. The experiment to try to win a race while actively antagonizing huge minority voting blocs (including women) won't fly anymore. You can't win a national election and marginalize issues these blocs care about.

Like I said the other day, the media got it wrong. I kept seeing reports that Obama had a white male problem. No, based on the results, white male politicians (who make up the predominance of the GOP constituency) have an every other group problem. The media got the optics wrong. So, the GOP was claiming to take the country back to a policy focus where white male concerns were paramount (because solving those concerns cover everyone)...and it's a failed exercise.

Corner of 16th and Mission. I always found the best results on the southwest corner, but the northwest and northeast corners were no slouches, either. Never had much luck on the southeast corner...

Great bar (with a large outdoor area) on the corner of 14th (I think it's 14th) and Valencia (one street over from Mission St.) called Zeitgeist. I recommend it...
