Trump is the one conducting the media. He's been doing that since he first announced his candidacy. He may claim the media is against him, they lie, etc, etc, but he's where he is because of how he played the media.

It is amazing that all the protests and violence have came from people that are against Trump.

Most everyone in Hollywood would call me a racist white privilege Muslim hating Trump supporter.

I bet if you ask them to house / let a couple of hundred muslim refugees move in their neighborhood / condo , I bet they would have some excuse of not to.

"We all should do ("social / energy / climate injustice buzzword") something about this but if it has to happen in our backyard then no thank you"

This is another reason why Trump won. People who ZERO clue what the real working middle class go through and were sick of 8 years telling us how terrible people we are all the while supporting everything and being blamed for everything.
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

We could all circle jerk out incidents of idiocy and bad actions by certain people in this country. It's effective in ginning up emotions, but it's not as important as policy, personally. It's a fun exercise for many and easy to luxuriate in if it can confirm your particular worldview. Not really my cup of tea, though.
