a spin on Jeffersons "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants"

I'm pretty sure that was Bear Bryant's quote, not Thom Jefferson's.

No thoughts on Aaron Burr? Now there was a true blue Okie at heart and spirit. Had he been born another 120 years later and several hundred miles further west, he would've fit right in.

Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

you should look into the Abarth version of the Fiat 500. Its a much higher horsepower version of it and a really fun affordable car. Unfortunately it doesn't look like Fiat will be selling them in United States anytime soon.

Not in the market. I just bought a new car last year. I just thought it was funny/sad that Fiat is going after the gays in the US market with its ad campaign. In the meantime, the Top Gear guys in the UK have been saying for years how much they love the 500, how much better it is in its class than any other car, how perfect it is for cities, etc. etc. etc. But as soon as you bring it over to the US, you trot out J-Lo and a team of dancing queens in your commercials and hope that gays and chicks (the second Fiat commercial I saw just yesterday still had J-Lo, but no dancing, just her talking about being from the block or whatever) buying the 90s VW revamp and peach colored mini-Coopers buy your Fiat instead.

It just seems like they might have wanted to start with adds going after the folks that have been buying the non-peach colored Minis, etc. It will be interesting to see in a few years (especially if Fiat doesn't manage to get decent market share in the US) who was behind this ad campaign. The Italians at Fiat or the Americans at Chrysler?

I give Jen dap for the quality plastic surgery and her makeup artists for their strong work for the ads, but watching her try to make some of those moves was pretty painful. That last one where she tries to do the side to side hip wiggle (apparently for emphasis) looked stiff and uncomfortable. The bones... they do start to wither, even in the beautiful ones.

The Telegraph writer has some good points, but the real reason this country will be kick started this season is the return of the McRib. That manna juicy goodness from the gods will inject some good ol' American patriotism into this economy

are you talking about that Miss Asia whatever porn?

I got bored with it as she was just doing the ole in and out for like 10 minutes, so I quit watching it.

not sure what she was thinking - what line can a guy possibly deliver to a woman that convincesher a video he is making of her getting poked will not end up on the internet?

I was confused too. Re-reading it again, Hizzy's post works both for Jennifer Lopez (in a commercial I did not see) and the Asian porn link.

Hizzy is versatile like that.

I'll handle this, I'm internet black.

"Dap" is african american slang for "praise". Hizzy was praising Miss Lopez for her good looks at such an advanced age. (Though most of said "ups" or "love" was really being given to Miss Lopez's plastic surgeons and make-up artists.) A classic complisault. Kudos and huzzah to Hizzy on a well executed disrespection of Miss Lopez.

Is this Murder or Manslaughter? Keep in mind Warren County is 90% white and very corrupt. I'm still torn.
