I was just laughing at the idea of Trump pardoning Hunter for any reason..

I think he would have or at least told the DOJ to make it go away.

He said he had no interest in going after Hillary because it wasn't a good move for the country.

There is nothing to be gained by his DOJ going after a small fish like Hunter. Hell, the whole thing was probably leverage against Biden by the Dems to begin with when he made it clear he didn't intend to honor his pledge to be a transitional president


again, you can hate Trump all you want but you have to agree that bringing in disruptors who intend to dismantle all of this is the best move for Washington and more importantly for the American people regardless which side of the political spectrum you fall on.

You have Dan Crenshaw among others defending insider trading for politicians because they claim they can't live on $174K a year and its insulting to them they can't make money. You have Eric Swalwell who dated a Chinese spy. Schiff, Pelosi, Schumer, Tlaib, McConnell, Activists judges, weaponized DEA, Rogue FBI - who are now talking heads on MSNBC. I could write pages of examples of corruption that is just blatant at this point.

the whole thing needs to be burned to the ground, and its not going to be a liberal democrat to do it. I'm not saying Trump will, but the team he wants to put together is a lot closer to doing it than any other political party out there. They are motivated to go after entrenched GOP as much as they are Democrats. The fact that both Rinos and Liberals are fighting with everything they have to stop these appointments tells you what you need to know. They are scared of losing power and money.

There's a wide swath b/w government overreach and burn it all down. I've also learned a lot about burn it all down "revolutions" in the intervening years. They usually turn out far worse than what they overthrew. We'll see how you feel if and when shit starts to get burned down. I assume you have some assets and savings and some hope of social security that you paid into your whole life. Also, I don't recall government overreach being a primary target of my rantings and ravings in here. Not saying I've never ranted and raved about it but I'd guess that it was mainly about drug laws and such. Oh well, I guess we'll be warming our hands by the bonfire soon enough. The main reason why those unelected bureaucrats have so much power is because legislators no longer write bills regulating anything to be signed into federal law. They are too paranoid that any bill they write might alienate their voting base and jeopardize their reelection. So if something needs to get fixed because there is a disturbance in the force, they spin up an agency and give those people all the regulatory power and hope and pray their guy gets elected potus because that is the one appointing directors who obey presidential policy.

I didn't say nothing else. Dept. of Defense certainly needs to be overhauled but we both know that's the last thing that will get looked at (and it won't even be looked at). Talk about swamp pork. Denver and Colorado elected officials are officially backing off from their comments over the last few days about how they intended to have their law enforcement agencies "confront" federal military and ICE officials who very much intend to go to Colorado and round up and deport their illegal aliens. Trump can't work with any state and local officials since they very much intend to work against him. I think Trump learned it the hard way the last time (2017) he tried to work with local law enforcement when the Oakland City Mayor warned her entire city that Trump was coming for them. She defended her comments with tears in her eyes saying that was she did (warning the illegals) is no different than you flashing your headlights to warn speeders of a speed trap.
