I bet this won't be the last time this happens at this guys house - who builds a beam that low?
I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

Re: MIT Engineers
We're under some financial constraints at work and I'm responsible for planning some training activities that are coming up.
I have a need to train 70 people that were just brought in from another company on how to write our statement of work, allocate resources, etc - pretty basic but vital stuff to generating stable revenue over the course of the year - and more importantly being able to accurately project renevue for the fiscal year.
I submitted a proposal to do this and the cost was around $30K including travel - and it was rejected. now $30K may seem like a lot for but 70 people that is peanuts.
This morning I receive the budget for a larger event that we're planning in August and the alcohol budget by itself is $180K
priorities, right?

Re: MIT Engineers
If a venue charged that much for open bar over 3 nights, you're not negotiating well enough. I'm saying that from a NYer's perspective.

Re: MIT Engineers
if the average person consumes 6 drinks over the course of the event, that works out to roughly $36 per drink give or take

yea I agree - I don't want to get into the details here but I've been on my boss for years about the guy that negotiates for us. Its pretty obvious to me the guy is getting kickbacks.

There is an underground donkey show in Johnston County, along with cockfighting galore, in the same hardscrabble area which produced Ava Gardner...Jungle Rat wrote:I wish you would get raped by a donkey

Surely there are some who don't drink at all, or else drink very little, which makes it even worse...eCat wrote:if the average person consumes 6 drinks over the course of the event, that works out to roughly $36 per drink give or take
