Driver-less cars are going to change our way of life in ways many have not considered. Losers will be Toyota, Honda, and the Big American Three...as well as State Farm, Allstate...Hertz and Avis...body shops and parking garages...taxis and long haul truckers. An interesting read:

The lazy public who can't be troubled to drive, and the people who have to drive on roads with drivers so bad that a drunk monkey with Parkinson's would be a better at staying in their lanes.

Yeah, but if several entire industries are crushed, I doubt it's worth it...

I wonder if driver less cars will adapt the personalities of their owners?

Like will the Asian ones drive really bad and not stay in their lane? Will Senior Citizens cars drive really slow on their way to get their senior discount cup of coffee during morning rush hour?

Damn, I always figured that was Buck Rogers shit. I'll still be in my 50's when he says that will happen. I can't wait to park my ass in the back seat and punch in the gps to get to wherever I'm going.

The important question is, will it count as a designated driver?

DUI, all moving violations, checkpoints - will be a footnote in history. Traffic tie-ups, too (even ATL..just imagine). No need for seatbelts. Tinted glass and anything goes. (Sadly, my first thought was binge-watching SoA or similar)

isn't there some law that says you have to get all your tax documents by Jan 31?

They have to put it in the mail by Feb 2 this year for most things or Feb 17th for some others.

Not K1's from corporations or partnerships, since those come out after that entity does its own taxes, but various flavors of 1099s and 1098s and Ws.

1099s and W-2s should be sent to recipients by now, but the fed copies don't have to be sent until a month later so sometimes the forms are sent out to individuals late.

Cletus, you need to stay away from hedge fund investments.

They are usually the K-1s that are filed later because they themselves have to wait on K-1s from other funds.
