this is what happens when the church has a mortgage to pay and no parishioners in the pews listening to the clergy. you find yourself renting the space out to whatever group wants to meet in a church. its also what happens when the pastor is a female. which is usually the reason why there are no parishioners in the pews. because she isn't clergy

Oh I have no problem with that. But having known a few churches that had to have patronage just to keep the lights on, I suspect that $$$$$ are the reason.

Blowhards like me value things like marriage and see them as sacred, something that must be maintained until God ends them (with the death of a spouse.) That is the only time a marriage is to end, NOT when people like you use the authority of secular government to go and end them. You have no place at all telling me what Jesus wanted and what he didn't want. 2000 years ago, I would be with Christ. You would be with the blowhards.

They ARE in trouble. There are far too many women leading them. When women preach, they preach feminism and no one listens. Women preach feminism to an empty church.

Here in Scottsdale, there is a church that is absolutely packed, I mean PACKED. They have to have valet service and trams to get the people from the remote parts of the parking lot so they don't have to walk half a mile. That is what I mean by packed.

The husband is the lead pastor. What he says, goes. What he says is in the King James Bible. And what he says, brings them in and fills the place. Its amazing. Almost ALL of the people in the congregation, they were members of other churches that started preaching feminist churchianity. And that was it for them. They left that churchianity and sought a real church to find God.
