Re: The Detroit Pistons- Someday, we will rise again!
Man, when you are comparing somebody to Dwight Howard and then talk about bad FT shooting as though it's worse than Howard, that is supremely bad. Yup. Dwight shot 67% from the line as a rookie. Drummond 37% . But Drummond scored more efficiently from the field, was a better rebounder on both ends,...

Re: The Detroit Pistons- Someday, we will rise again!
Drummond is an athletic freak but the problem, for me, is that he doesn't seem to really be improving offensively. His shooting is atrocious... I had never actually seen an NBA player air ball consecutive ft's until last year. and one didn't even come close to hitting either the mesh or the backboa...

Re: The Detroit Pistons- Someday, we will rise again!
Cavs are offering Bynum 24 mil over 2 years WAY too risky a move. I wouldnt touch him with anything more than the mid-level exception... and even then I wouldnt feel too good about it Its a smart deal as the 2nd year is supposedly a team option. Worst case is it preserves their cap space for next y...

So does the Smith signing mean a trade of Monroe is on the horizon?
Or is Detroit going to foolishly move Smith to SF?

Re: Toronto Raptors - We can't be pathetic forever, can we?
I think its a horrible deal for Minny. 2 guys that *may* turn out to be rotational players and the #1 pick in a draft that doesn't have a clear star. If they really want to deal Love, they could get more. I think Love stays if Minny shows enough improvement. The injuries are a concern, but they stil...

I don't get why getting a first rounder would be so hard, a solid team that spreads the floor could use bargnani and I'm not even thinking high lottery, just low teens He's owed over 22M the next 2 years and has 1 NBA skill. And even that has eroded the past 2 years as he's shot 30% from deep. No t...

Re: Houston Rockets - Hizzy's Hizouse
I think Al is legit & good big man quality (cues counterpost from Simitar). He's not versatile and he only works from the post, but take it from a guy who has watched andrea bargnani launch 3's for years, that's not a bad thing Heh. Al is almost a terrific low post scorer. He has great moves an...

Jimmy Butler starting for Deng: 21 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists and took on the task of guarding LeBron.
It was also his 3rd straight 48 minute game.

Correct. You can not amnesty a contract that you traded for.yossarian1234 wrote:Don't think you can amnesty Gay though. Bargnani can be amnestied and we should seriously consider it IMO.

Shocking... Andrew Bynum has another setback Updated: March 1, 2013, 3:44 PM ET By Brian Windhorst | ESPN.com Andrew Bynum doesn't want to play in pain. Also...as I think about it, maybe it was the same picture. Perhaps there is one chick on his right and one on his left. They look like appropriate bookends, actually. That makes sense...and Dr. Buss' Playa Status remains in good order. It is. Its 2 different crops of the same image: http://www.free...

Getting to the line isn't really his game. He's very athletic, but he has a mediocre handle. 'Creating his own shot' is usually dribbling down the clock and launching a long 2.T Dot O Dot wrote: we finally have a guy who can get a whistle, create his own shot & close ball games

Re: Toronto Raptors - We can't be pathetic forever, can we?
who won this deal? Memphis in a landslide. They picked up a nice young (and cheap) 3rd big in Davis (who also gives them some insurance if Zach misses any games), but they also got 2 wings that will help them more than Gay. Prince gives them much better defense at SF, and both Prince and Daye give ...

3 NBA centers have 70-plus blocks, 40-plus steals: Joakim Noah (93,56), Marc Gasol (81,43), Andre Drummond (72,40).
Noah has played 1660 min this year. Gasol has played 1520 min.
Drummond has done it in 879 min, nearly half the time.

Re: Toronto Raptors - We can't be pathetic forever, can we?
Gay is more "name" than on court value. He's a poor/disinterested defender. He doesn't give you the playmaking you'd like from a wing, and while he's very athletically gifted, he's far too prone to settle for long 2 point shots. I'd also be nervous trading for a guy who is having the worst...

I don't get the appeal of Gay.
He's a dead average NBA small forward across the board. The only places he stands out is he takes an above average amount of shots and hits them at below average efficiency.
And he's still owed 97 trillion dollars.

I think OKC's offensive improvement has a lot more to do with the huge jumps so far by Ibaka and Sefolosha than from going from Harden to Martin.T Dot O Dot wrote:Martin's efficiency is off the charts, overall OKC's offensive output is increased from last season
