Re: The Arrogant, Entitltled World Champion Los Angeles Lake

Kobe needing 38 points tonight to take the scoring title made me think of this: George Gervin vs. David Thompson The closest scoring race came when Gervin (27.22) edged Thompson (27.15). Of course, it came down to the final day -- April 9, 1978. Gervin took a slim lead into their finales, with Thomp...

Re: Toronto Raptors - We can't be pathetic forever, can we?

Agreed Sim. I saw a lot of mock boards that don't even have him in the 2nd round. I would gamble a 2nd round pick on a guy that plays hard any day of the week. Perhaps Colangelo can use one of our two 2nd rounders on him. I think after interviews and workouts he ends up going late teens, early 20s....

Re: Toronto Raptors - We can't be pathetic forever, can we?

I think he's going to be a Shane Battier type. Lockdown defender at the 3, capable of checking smaller/stretch 4s. Maybe even being able to guard some bigger 2s (if rumors about him losing weight are accurate). Probably won't have quite the 3pt shot of Shane, but he scored very efficiently, rebounde...

Re: Toronto Raptors - We can't be pathetic forever, can we?

I think Sullinger is going to be OK. He's not exciting, but he has a lot of skills that transfer well to the NBA. I think he'll be a much better pro than guys like Barnes, Perry Jones or Austin Rivers. My pick for this year's Kenneth Faried (the underestimated guy that 20+ teams kick themselves for ...

looks like he trimmed down, his face was pudgier the last time he was clean shaven He did play this year about 20 pounds lighter than in the past by getting into really good shape for the first time in his life. From the AP: Love is also sporting a new look, having shaved the scraggly beard he’s been growing all season. Coach Rick Adelman jokes that the All-Star power forward looks “about 12 years old.” Love says his estimate is closer to 18. ---------- I didn't even recognize him.... https://p.twimg.com/Ar...

Re: The Arrogant, Entitltled World Champion Los Angeles Lake

I think he's going to make FAR too much money and doesn't do enough of the things that help you win. I think he can make for a pretty boxscore (provided you gloss over rebounds), but he's empty stats IMO.

Re: The Arrogant, Entitltled World Champion Los Angeles Lake

I was just asking a question. To me future pics = 2nd round pics. Like the player to be named later. Plus it seems that the newest thing to do with future 1st round picks is lottery protect them for a few years and then they turn into 2nd round picks. You aren't seeing anymore of the shit like Minn...

Re: The Arrogant, Entitltled World Champion Los Angeles Lake

Honestly, I'd say be inclined to turn down the NJ deal if I was ORL - even if it meant Dwight walking. Overpaying for Brook Lopez is a really bad idea - potentially crippling. Brook isn't just "not as good as Bynum", he's actually a pretty bad basketball player that has gotten worse every ...

Re: Minnesota TimberWolves

The thing I "love" about Love.... he puts up those gaudy numbers but he doesn't seem to need the ball nearly as long as the other superstars to do something similar. He's a blue collar guy with skill. Yeah. He's definitely not a ball stopper on offense. His post and midrange games are sta...

Love became the first player in the 3 point era to lead the league in total points, total rebounds and made 3s for a single month.

He finished 37 points, 13 rebounds and 4 3s ahead of anyone else.

The Hornets have our pick. The only way we get a 1st rounder is if Utah makes the Playoffs.

2-2 (with a 3OT loss to OKC).

Losing Rubio and Pekovic has absolutely killed us. They're by far the 2nd and 3rd best players on the team and the only other legit starting players we have.
