The NonConference

Appalachian State (4-8)
@ Notre Dame (9-4)
Miami-OH (0-12)
Utah (5-7)

Credit them for scheduling two major opponents. Michigan ought to get their 'revenge' on Appalachian State as that program has fallen far from when Moore had them winning national titles.

Grade: B-

Credit Michigan for playing Notre Dame? that's been an annual matchup since the '80s?

Credit them for still playing the game even after the shitty way Notre Dame cancelled the series on them.

This assumed that Michigan would, in fact, show up in South Bend and contest the game. Given the results from Saturday night, I'd have to say this was clearly an erroneous assumption.
