An exciting look at Indiana's Indianapolis showdown with Ball State

Interesting bits on the history of the two schools playing in Indianapolis. The Hoosiers have not won a game there since 1923. This game, and not the Big Ten title game, will be the first college football game hosted at Lucas Oil Field

Indiana showing a remarkable lack of self-respect in rushing to play the mighty Minutemen in Gillette Stadium

I read earlier today that IU got a verbal from the #1 rated QB in the country...beat out Bama....things are looking up, up up!

The kid wanted to stay close to mom. Can't fault his decision.

Maybe we'll hire Kevin Wilson (alum and a name that has been talked about previously as Butch's replacement) and he'll bring the qb with him...

UNC>IU in football and basketball. It may not be saying much in football, but Carolina has more relevancy than IU. Plus, NC is a top ten-ish state in terms of football prospects.

Maybe in terms of cheating and NCAA sanctions that are coming up sure. Wilson is staying put at IU. Carolina is and will be a train wreck in football and I would hope he would have ZERO interest in cleaning it up.

You could always get the vest, I heard he was looking for a job.

The NonConference

Indiana State (1-11)
@ Bowling Green (10-4)
@ Missouri (12-2)
North Texas (9-4)

Indiana is becoming more competitive but I still wouldn't expect them to win in Columbia. They aren't good enough to take BG or North Texas for granted (the Hoosiers lost to N Texas the last time they played).

Grade: B-

There is no way the SEC could win a war with your ass. Or the NFL, for that matter. Or the entire US military...

Let it be known that I never wanted Mizzou. I was in favor of cannibalizing the ACC ala the B1G. I think FSU, Clemson, VaTech, any of the North Carolina schools (except Wake) would be nice fits. We were more concerned with our geographical footprint for TV, though.

Could be worse. You could have gotten stuck with Maryland and Rutgers
