I played tee ball. Does that count, or do I need to have at least "coach pitch" experience?

Whatever suits your fancy. All I ask it that constant smack be accompanied by some experience and knowlege. Anybody can spoit like the assholes on TV, or the beer drinking, fat nerds whom many of you seem to be imitating. And I assume you are mostly long out of your college, frat house days. Animal House I have not seen here. Just keep aspiring.

I played, love, and know baseball. I can't really say the same thing about Major League Baseball though, in any respect.

Whatever. MLB is the baseball y'all talk about. You don't like it then talk about sandlot. I don't mind. The game is the game.

What is your fundamental complaint about MLB? The money? The game they play? Say something.

Love it, have played it and know it. And everytime I ask you what you want to discuss, you run and hide. So, again, what about the great game of baseball would you like to discuss?

Go the fuck over to the ESPN boards then if you're looking for only baseball talk. Or maybe throw out a fucking topic instead of acting like a little bitch.

MLB just doesn't hold my interest like it used to. I once was a hardcore baseball fan, these days I probably would just be a bandwagon fan, when my team is doing well.

My fundamental complaint with MLB is the lack of a salary cap and disparity in payroll between big market and small market clubs. I prefer a system where the Kansas City Royals and Pittsburgh Pirates can compete annually on an even basis with the Red Sox, Yankees and Phillies. And a system where teams that do a good job of developing young talent like the Rays can keep those players long term and not have to turn over the roster every couple of years like the Marlins did (twice). I like what the Rays have done, and the Twins, and what the Reds are doing. I would like to see nimrods like the Steinbrenners have to suffer for their personnel decision mistakes like other teams have had to do rather than just throw more money at the problem until eventually something sticks.

That's because you don't live in a baseball town.

Bluecat is right. That is what is wrong with baseball. It's just not fair to the small markets. Compare that to the NFL with cities like Indianapolis and New Orleans, cities that can't even support MLB, and look at the NFL teams they've had recently. Compare the Pirates and the Steelers in Pittsburg. The baseball system favors the big cities.

In spite of that I love baseball. l can't get enough of it. 2011 marks my 50th year supporting my beloved Cincinnati Reds. I'm watching them as I speak.

that's why I laugh at the people that want to bring mlb to charlotte. charlotte teams are known as cheap in basketball and football no way charlotte competes against the big city teams in baseball.

Without a salary cap baseball will fall behind kickball in 20 years and That makes me sick. My dad would turn over in his grave if that happened.

5 run inning so far. New lineup is working. At least tonight anyway.

Make that a 6 run inning. Their pitcher looks like a porcelain bobble head.
