I suppose. But they changed the date "effective" today.

Because the statue won a fucking Heisman trophy.

Half of the women who graduated BC in the 1980s would have been willing to suck a fart out of Flutie's asshole.

W-T-F.

It is May 20th, we don't have even ONE VERBAL RECRUIT yet for the 2012 class. Our last two classes looked real good. This 2012 class.... nothing. Zero.

Are you doubting The Spaz?

The Spaz had 4 or 5 verbals this time last year.

I think his recruiting (2009 and 2010) has been awesome. So many of those players are absolutely critical to the 2011 season. But we don't have any verbals yet.

Meanwhile, FSU has two five-star and 6 four-star recruits, as well as the #1 or #2 (depending on who you listen to) kicker in the country. And it's only May of 2011 - we'll have a smallish class this year but it will be chock full of quality.

Gentlemen, the days of FSU being asleep at the wheel and letting the BCs, NCSUs, and Wake Forests compete are over. VT and Clemson will have their occasional moments of brilliance, and UNC can be competitive if they survive the NCAA, but the rest of youse are distant memories in the rear view mirror. We'll be stocked in the two deep in 2012, still too thin in talent to win the MNC, but if our schedule doesn't kill us we'll make a run in 2012 - mark it.

Matt Ryan was a 3-star.

Luke Kuechly was a 3-star.

Chase Rettig, was a 3-star.

Montel Harris had 2-stars. Kiwanuka had no stars.

Fuck you Kevi.

Yeah there are flukes here and there. We've had our share of underrated superstars too. However, it is an undeniable fact that recruiting rankings matter.

Seriously, IB, get used to 3rd place in the division, you won't see any higher for the next 4+ years anyway.

The rankings matter. Coaching matters. Schedule matters. And most of all, age and veteran experience matters.

I have some issue with that statement...that's how Wake Forest operates - accept 2 years of shit then 1 year of "better" followed by 1 year of "good to very good", but depending on age and veteran experience does not consistently win.

Coaching and schedule absolutely matter, our coaching staff had its head up its collective ass for years - we had talent but not quality depth. Schedule is our biggest obstacle in the near future, we have a very tough OOC schedule coming up, which won't prevent us from being in the ACCCG but could hurt us in the hunt for the MNC.
