It has all worked out for the best for you and your NCState brethren. The way it is now, you get the best of both worlds: The undying conviction that UNC fucked up combined with the bitterness that you people so obviously crave as a way of life engendered by the fact that we officially got off. That feeling of personal victory combined with official bitterness is pure ambrosia to State fans...

I got it better than most State fans. Some of those poor saps get their hopes up every time a new group gets involved in U*NC's mess. They think THIS agency will actually do something about it. I have no such illusions.

State fans are the self-hating jews of collegiate sports. Hell, of collegiate life, period...

That's what all self-hating jews say, too. It's part of their, ahem, charm. Don't worry, we all see it even if you don't...

heh. not hardly bucko. I've loved every minute of watching U*NC getting raked over the coals. State's fighting for a first round bye in the ACC tourny, he have a promising young football coach and baseball is top-20. future is bright.

The lady doth protest too much, methinks. No one (least of all me) would deny your delight at UNC's recent discomfiture (I thought I had made that clear; alas, I forgot my audience). You, however, seem too keen by half to deny your own pique (rage is more like it) at the lack of official and massive punitive action against us. Nothing short of the death penalty for our football and basketball programs would satisfy you, and anything less is regarded bitterly by you as a mere slap on the wrist. It is this second (although primary) aspect of you and your NCState brethren's psychology that you would fain deny and hope no one else notices. But believe me, everyone notices, in the same way they notice a horrible car wreck. They don't want to look, but it's so ugly they can't help themselves...

Nope, here's what I want to see happen in U*NC's case. I want an independent investigation to see exactly what happened and when. If U*NC used ineligible players to win banners, then the banners need to come down. If they didn't then so be it and I'll shut the hell up. If they're guilty then the death penalty is too good for what U*NC has done. The program needs to be gutted down to a division II level so that U*NC and it's fans get to endure 10 years of getting railed like a 3 hole prison bitch.

I know. it's like saying I'll shut up if the sun rises in the west tomorrow. Basically there's two investigations that count going on. The SBI which I expect to be a white wash and SACS. If those two bodies give U*NC a pass then it doesnt matter what U*NC is guilty of, they've gotten away with it. At that point I'll make one more post and then let it go.

Speculation that Miami could get sanctions this week...they have cancelled the rest of fall practice and are banning media access till Monday.

Hopefully they go light. I'm sick of the hypocrisy of the NCAA, especially with regard to Cam Newton and Oregon, and they botched this up in a desperate attempt to get the knockout blow. Time served plus a few scholarships over the next three years would be fair, and just time served would be acceptable too.
