With Title-IX, you can not stay, 1AA. You can't. You can't afford to finance 65 scholarships, indefinately, charging $8 a ticket for 3000 fans, not when you must counter every single one of those 65 schollies with a scholly for a girls sport that brings in ZERO revenue.

Football MUST BE a revenue generator for the athletic department or you can't have it. There is no 3rd way. So staying at the FCS/1AA level peminantly, can't happen. You must eventually move UP (UConn) or disband (Hofstra, Boston University, and Northeastern.)

This move is not about getting the 125,000 UMass alumni living in the Boston area to pay to watch UMass play Akron in Foxboro. It's about the OOC schedule in Foxboro. It is about the games vs BC, UConn, Penn State, Syracuse, Maryland, Pittsburgh, and maybe a few CABAL teams. Fuck the MAC. That is just a resting spot for UMass until they get their (eventual) invite into the BCS Big LEast. At that point, Krafty Bob will no longer be offering them "the Razor" free of charge.

If you are not a robot, please provide us with some basic information:

You did not answer the big fight question or BBQ preference question.

Answer those or GTFO.

DS that was such a softball I really dont know how to respond to that. I mean your defense is that your head coach was not involved with his assistant coach and 30 year best friend, and that he had no idea this his best players were flying all over the country taking illegal benefits and that he had no idea that the nanny for his son was providing illegal academic help to his players and that he had no idea that a cocaine runner had free access to his locker room. to sum up, your defense is that you head coach had no idea what was going on in the program he's getting paid $2mil+ a year to run. that's your defense. really?

DS if Butch didnt know what was going on why did unc heavily redact the phone and email records they gave to the ncaa and the n&o? why is unc not releasing the parking ticket records? why did butch fire everybody from buntings compliance staff? why did he give blake 75k to go away quietly?

I agree with Augie; I have a hard time believing that Butch was completely clueless. In fact, I would gander that he felt uncomfortable about a few things and at least brought it to Blake's attention to see if things were proceeding as he feared they might. I won't say that Butch actually supported it but I have a hard time believing that he didn't end up developing suspicions (about Blake) along the way.

Butch had known blake for years, and everybody, I mean every body knew blakes reputation. butch knew. he had to or he's one of the biggest dumbasses on the planet. hell, butch was good friend w/ wichard. you think he didnt know his best player was working out at wichards camp?

hizzy, at this point it shouldnt matter whether butch knew or not. if he knew he's a cheat and should be fired. if he didnt he's clueless about what's going on in the program he's making $2mil+ to run and he should be fired for LOIC. either way this is butch's responsibility.

Here's one of a thousand examples as to why so many don't like Notre Dame: nimrods like this, who put this type of crap on the internet, knowing that they're embarrassingly off, but not giving a shit anyway. Just prop up their favorite program, which is a favorite mostly because their granpappy sucked off the Irish schlong for 50 years.
