Damn, that rurned my day. I didn't click the link. Good point about SSB retiring if they ever do institute a no flop rule. Indeed, he was lovingly referred to by Carolina fans as Flopsy...

Listen, if you're going to schedule 4 games in 5 days, shit like this may well happen. If the L wants to smack them around for it, then Pandora's Box may well get opened.

Yup. It was obvious that he was sending a big FU to the league office for the bad scheduling. He was making a statement during a nationally televised game.

For the Spurs it was their 4th game in 5 days (and 6th in 9).

For the Heat it was their 1st game in 5 days (and 3rd in 13).

They're here:

The NBA announced Friday that the San Antonio Spurs organization has been fined $250,000 for its decision to send four players home prior to the Spurs' Nov. 29 game in Miami. The Spurs' actions were in violation of a league policy, reviewed with the NBA Board of Governors in April 2010, against resting players in a manner contrary to the best interests of the NBA.

NBA Commissioner David Stern stated: "The result here is dictated by the totality of the facts in this case. The Spurs decided to make four of their top players unavailable for an early-season game that was the team's only regular-season visit to Miami. The team also did this without informing the Heat, the media, or the league office in a timely way. Under these circumstances, I have concluded that the Spurs did a disservice to the league and our fans."

He's going out with a bang, tho. The players may well start looking at him like NFL cats do Goodell.

I gave my brother in law a stern warning a couple of years ago and had to spend 12 hours sitting on a concrete slab.

loved Jamison at UNC

couldnt believe they lost to Utah in the Final Four, Vince Carter & Antawn Jamison versus Andre Miller & Michael Doleac

I;m pretty sure the PG was Ed Cota too, ridiculous

He put up one of the best stats I've ever seen in basketball, I cant remember the graphic but it was his last year and they calculated that he put up 28-30 points with only having the ball in his hands for less than 60 seconds

He had the fastest catch and release (almost always for a score) of anybody I've ever seen in college hoops. You could almost count the assist as a basket b/c Jamison was basically just a conduit...

As for his HOF chances, he's already #44 on the alltime scoring list and around #60 on the rebounds list. Should end his career solidly within the top 40 in scoring and close to 50 in rebounding. Everyone ahead of him except Terry Cummings, Walter Davis (another UNC alum), Bernard King, Tom Chambers and Mitch Richmond is either in the HOF, still playing, or not yet eligible (all in the latter two categories are locks except maybe Cliff Robinson, who Jamison will surpass in scoring, as well as all the ones mentioned who are not in the HOF).
