I have to admit, I can't recall seeing many , if any, blacks at Skyline the many times I've been there.

Maybe they just abhor cinnamon chili with cheese

Bet you don't see any black people eating "ribs" at Montgomery Inn, either...

Moved from Explorers thread...
105. Full Tilt Poker’s repeated representations that (1) player funds were held separately from operating accounts, (2) player funds were “safe” and “available,” and (3) it did not allow play on credit but instead allowed play only with “cleared” funds were, in reality, lies. In truth and in fact, Full Tilt Poker provided no protection whatsoever to deposits it received from players in the United States and other countries, and simply used the funds it claimed it was holding on account for its players to cover business expenses and to pay hundreds of millions of dollars in distributions to professional poker players affiliated with Full Tilt Poker and others who owned interests in Tiltware LLC. As a result, according to a balance sheet prepared by Full Tilt Poker, as of March 31, 2011, Full Tilt Poker owed players from around the world over approximately $390,695,788 but had only approximately $59,579,413 in its bank accounts. Full Tilt Poker relied on new deposits from players to ensure its ability to fund withdrawals to players’ accounts.

106. Rather than protect player funds as promised, Full Tilt Poker distributed hundreds of millions of dollars to its owners. Beginning in April 2007 and continuing through April 2011, Tiltware LLC’s Board of Directors, to wit, the FTP Insider Defendants, authorized the distribution of approximately $443,860,530 to the owners of Tiltware LLC, including themselves.

I had like $70 in an account at Pokerstars.

I opened it up on Cletus' advice many years ago and forgot all about it until I got an email from them. Never did follow thru on it. I guess they are shut down now.

Cletus advised you to start gambling over the internet?

Pretty sure we may have a cause of action against Cletus. He may have had a stake in Poker Stars from the outset. It sounds as if the entire Goat Pen site at World Crossing may have been an elaborate confidence scheme designed to relieve eCat of $70.

heh

you guys don't remember Cletus promoting poker stars?

I guess he was really into online poker at the time, it sounded fun to me so I opened up an account.

I realized about 20 minutes into it, I was in over my head as I was losing every hand so I quit, and I think it was one of those deals where I had to get up off my ass and actually do something to get my money back so I didn't.

I got up to about 600 bucks playing omaha hi low. cashed out about 400 of it which was a long torturous process invoilving USBank and western union.

I can see why many people got trapped leaving money in there. 90 of the 200 I had left and as soon as the news broke that theyr were being investigated I tried to draw it out and they froze everyones acct

Imagine that. A Online Poker service that takes people money.

I am fucking shocked.

Playing online poker for real money is to quote AA "Pants on the head retarded".

You have NO idea whom you are playing against. They could be 5 guys sitting in the same conference room and whomever has the better starting pair, they let that person play and split all the money they win. Oh yeah, you could also be playing with one of the programmers / owner of the site so they might have a slight advantage knowing the system.

Oh sure, they all tell you they don't do that blah blah blah. No thank you. I like playing poker with people I can actually see.

If you put money into ANY of these types of site and expect anything different, then you are a reeeeeeeetttttttaaaaaaaaaaard. Tell you what, just give me HALF of the money you are going to put in, I will come to where you are and kick you in the nuts and call it even so you don't waste any more time and money.

I never did anything but tournaments--10 dollar buy ins etc-20-200 people in

certainly the higher stakes games were fixed. 300 billion dollar world wide industry just for pokerstars I read somewhere abd a lot of that was ponzied with the "staff" getting 30-40% of that 300 billion ayear
