Finally broke down & got an Xbox X. I've been thinking about it. I only bought it for Flight Simulator, which is awesome. I don't think I'll buy any other games though. They're all to complicated for this old man.

I used to own one. I think my youngest has it now. I played the basic war games & sports games. They're way to complicated today. You need a degree to play Madden.

So I interviewed for a job today, brahs. The lady was this 70 year old cunt who couldn't shut up about how awful "common core" is for our education system, whatever that is. Apparently she teaches Korean students online in her spare time or something. Oddly enough the job has nothing to do with education, but I didn't have the nerve to ask. In between looking down at my resume and shaking her head she seemed to like me a little bit and made it sound like she wanted to hire me. Would have paid me a good bit of coin, brahs. Still, after the 7th mention of common core I excused myself to hit the restroom and left.

Interesting thing has happened in our little burg

over the course of 18 months going back a bit, we had 4 bakeries open in town and that isn't counting the chain bakery that opened

Unfortunately 2 of them lasted about 6 months and went belly up

What I think happened was during the pandemic, these women (or men I guess) were stuck at home, and just out of boredom or need for extra cash started baking, the response was so well received by people also stuck at home they thought there was an opportunity for them to open a bakery.

I went into one last week that was next door to our favorite Mexican place. $3 Cookies and $6 cupcakes

I can see why they don't have much of a crowd

I have tears in my eyes laughing at that, I showed it to my wife and she tells me "sometimes I think you are an incredibly mean person, she probably hurt herself"

I don't know if this will appeal to anyone or not, but if you have a garage or workshop, a camper or even a big tent and you want to heat it, I'd suggest you look at a Chinese made diesel heater. The most popular brand is Vevor but they are all the same which is a knock of an expensive model called Espar. You can get them on Amazon for about $120 for the basic setup. Super easy to setup , you just need a hole to either run the exhaust out or the heat pipe in. The fans runs off a 12v battery like a lawn mower uses, however I bought a $28 DC power supply so that I don't have to deal with it. I have it setup in my garage. 1.5 gallons of diesel should last you all day which is $4.19 a gallon here.

I guess in a pinch it could heat a room or two in your house although you better make sure you are on top of the exhausting the fumes out or you'll go to sleep and not wake up

We had a discussion in here awhile back after some teenage girl got killed by 2 coyotes about whether anybody thought they could kill two coyotes with their bare hands in a life or death situation. I think that video answered the question...
