The wishbone is also run by the service academies! You can say what you want about Paul Johnson, but I'm not going to sit here and let you bad-mouth the United States of America!

The triple option is what you run when you can't get great skill players or huge linemen.

I.e. all your players have to pass courses in Calculus.

If Fedora pulls another double digit win season out of his ass this year, he is gone. He knows that the post-Trubinsky qb situation is a roll of the dice at best and that his offensive talent will be gone after this season and next season. He wants to coach in the SEC. If LSU wants a coach who loves offense while doing stupid shit, he is your man. IMO, Gene Chizik sensed that Fedora is looking for something bigger/better and wants to slide into the slot if Fedora leaves. His defense taking a massive step back since November 2015 and being exposed as shitty up front is going to prevent that.

How's Mikey Bart playing? My wife did some work with his parents...their other son is a very promising sophomore catcher at Georgia Tech and we might go down and catch some games with them next spring.

He plays hard, and he is a good kid by all accounts. He has made a few plays over the years and had some good games towards the latter part of last season. However, like the rest of the defensive front seven, this year hasn't been something to really talk about in anything other than somber tones with promises to work hard and improve.

Looks like LSU-Florida is postponed and may be cancelled. Huge.

Bama get another break! After Coach Eaux gonna geaux undefeated, and then LSU be 6-1, but 7-1 Alabama gonna win the West! Dey should play in Baton Rouge! That'd be most fair.

UT UF game was postponed due to a storm and it was rescheduled and played later in the season.

Reminds me of when UA Coach Bill Curry called off a game with aTm because of Hurricane Gilbert. It was a beautiful day after all.

Later in the season. Florida and LSU probably will too.

The thing is, neither have a common open date. The Bama-TAMU Postponement was before the SECCG.

This will be difficult.

Hmmm...

If they don't play at all, it probably won't affect the SEC in the long run. Bama will beat LSU handily to win the West and advance to the SECCG. Florida, or whatever team wins the East will lose to Bama in the SECCG. Same old same old.

UGA and USCe moved their game in Columbia to Sunday. That's a smart (no pun intended) solution to the problem.

The thing is, it could affect the SECCG race on both sides.

If Bama finishes 6-2, TAMU finishes 6-2, and LSU finishes 5-2 - deciding a winner will be difficult.

Imagine...(I haven't had coffee yet, but off the top of my head, this is possible):

Bama's losses: LSU and Arkansas
LSU's losses: Auburn and TAMU
TAMU's losses: Bama and Ole Miss

Who goes to ATL?

I know that may not seem likely, but planning for contingencies makes sense because the ball bounces in weird ways. Watching the Arkie-Ole Miss game last year, who would have thought that the Hogs would pull that game out?

The same scenario could unfold for the East, but it is less likely.

Moreover, giving LSU and Florida an extra bye week to heal and/or prepare diesn't seem right either.

They should have been forced to move the game or play on Sunday. This isn't pre-1992, the CCG makes a hard stop for completing play.

I actually think its likely that this problem is going to go away. Both LSU and Florida will be all but out of their races by November even with that game available. Still, they probably have to make a plan to play the game anyway.
