That works, but I do enjoy drinking a cold beer at a game. Can't do that in Chapel Hill (although I do think they offer it in the new "Blue Zone" section). The SEC is much more progressive about beer sales than the ACC. Downright liberal...

Cincy has always sold beer to the masses at their games. Football and basketball.

Isn't it an NCAA rule that on campus stadiums can't sell beer? (only at catered settings such as sky boxe). Never understood the logic of that but thought it was in place.

I thought the same thing.

UC somehow got around that rule. Might have been grandfathered in because they've been selling beer at on campus football and basketball games since I was a kid.

Here ya go.

Guess that means they can sell beer. I was in the nose bleed section and the climb was too much to go to a concession. So l don't know if they sold it or not.

The article cited that the SEC has a no-beer rule, but apparently that isn't in force at bowl games. It isn't sold at TWLOCP.

Correct. Bowl games are not under the control of the SEC.

Coach Boom avoids an embarrassing loss on a 55 yd FG - nobody here left to care either way.

AU fan at work wonders what USCw was thinking by hiring Boom. I told him he sounded jilted.

Truth is he had good points about the question ... Most of what we came up with is the fact he IS an excellent recruiter and DOES coach a very strong D. His defenses at F were not his downfall there.

Recruiting was not a strong suit of Spurrier - he had gotten too close to the end to really give a shit what 18 year olds thought of him. So by hiring an elite recruiter in Muschamp, you're setting up the next regime for success if they can coach well (see Ron Zook/Urban Meyer). USCe has seen that a traditionally middling team in the SEC like Ole Miss can start to recruit and play at a high level and they're looking for the same thing (and I'm not sure they'd even care about the NCAA inquiries).

They would give a fuck less about the NCAA if they won the SEC and a natty, even though they have given so much shit over the decades about the NCAA.

Hopefully this hastens the end of the Coach Boom era.
