it is amazing his focus on the team considering the distractions he must have with his younger son's medical problems - his wife must be a saint

No doubt. Heard his wife talk about their son at the QB Club in Bham. Great lady.

I'd hope they don't learn to play D. We'll murder 'em.

Saban would be the perfect coach to replace Mack at Texas.

Mark Richt os 3-1 against Alabama. 2008 was a nice ass whoopin for your climb back up the Mountain, but Georgia is still tied for second for the most SEC Titles. Texas A&M is no Georgia.

Prof, surprisingly, is correct. Saban would be the perfect coach to replace many, many, coaches. He's the best in the business. Tejas, on the other hand, does not deserve him.

Texas is the only school that has enough (oil) money to outbid the REC for Saban's services.

They can't do it either.

A bidding war between Texas and the REC for Saban would be interesting to watch. The Longhorns could simply crank up their oil wells to maximum capacity and come up with the billions necessary.

OTOH, the REC would have to impose a 25% surtax on all income and property in the state of Alabama to keep up. Most Alabamians would be glad to pay it if it keeps Saban in Tuscaloosa.

Mack Brown has recruited really well. Saban won't have to deal with an empty cupboard.
