I agree. I don't understand the irrational exuberance for JF3.

But I guess he has as good a chance to succeed as anybody. In the recent past, we recruited two five star QB's - Kodi Burns and Kiehl Frazier - but both face planted as Tigers.

That's kinda weak, even by hedge standards.

First, former 5 star RB Roc Thomas transfers because he didn't land the starting job. Now, our other former 5 star RB Jovon Robinson, who won the starting job, gets kicked off the team. We had the deepest backfield anywhere, but now we are screwed. So very, very screwed.

Now, even the Birmingham Bowl is beyond our alligator arm reach.

Preemptive: "I wish you reached by an alligator... And eaten..."

You don't really have to put "preemptive", we get it...

Well, it was only Arkie State, but I'll take it. We did better than the Dawgs did against their cupcake over in Athens.

It appears that we finally have a decent defense again. It has been at least 5 years since that has been the case. They did a great job against Clemson's high powered offense last week, and acquitted themselves well yesterday. No gaping holes on the D-line with opposing RB's not getting touched until they're into the secondary. No opposing WR's catching balls with no DB within ten yards of them. No opposing QB's having all day to stand in the pocket and choose receivers. After a series of dismal failures as DC''s, we finally seem to have a good one in Steele. Let's hope he stays more than a year.

Of course Clemson looked like crap against Troy also, so it's hard to see if their very potent offense is truly having problems or is just disinterested (this happens after a great season - see FSU 2014).

"we finally seem to have a good one in Steele" - ask a Clemson fan about that one.

Under Steele, after only a preseason, our defense is much better than it was under his predecessors Muschamp, Johnson, Van Gorder and Roof. This year, the problem is not the defense. The problem is the offense, and especially the QB.

KS was a very good LB coach for us, and he can recruit. He seems to understand the front 7 very well. Way had real chances against Clemson. They were never really a threat to aTm.

Remember, better than Roof ain't sayin much. Just sayin.
