I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

I think Baker Mayfield is going go shotgun on the first play of the game, and then fire off an 80mph spiral at Kevin Stefanski's crotch

He doesn't have the wherewithal to make that play. I think it's time to accept Mayfield is bad forever. Although his receivers aren't even trying to get open on some of these plays where he has time in the pocket.

I was hoping he'd be better, he's just got some maturity issues that aren't going to get fixed

The way the rule is written he has to avoid leading with his helmet, hands, fist, elbows, shoulders, etc. But I think at the same time it also has to be a play that goes beyond what is needed for a legal tackle, which is probably why they picked the flag up. OTOH they still could have called helmet to helmet or roughing because he did lead with his helmet into Levi's head. The OL just blew his assignment leaving Levis completely exposed, although it looked like he still should have seen him coming peripherally which is why I tend to give the DE some leeway thinking he needs to make a hard and fast play so the QB doesn't duck out of it. All in all it could have gone either way. It looked very questionable on replay but I don't have a huge problem with them picking up the flag all things considered.
What can you lead with then, your appendix? Agreed on the 'goes beyond what is needed'. He needed to go head on and wrap him up, lest duck or side step the rusher. There was no helmet to helmet contact, rusher kept his facemask forward and did not lower his hea at all. The helmet popped off from hitting the ground and possibly had a snap loose. He's not a passer until he throws the ball so there can't be roughing. The refs did the right thing in picking up the flag, and I saw 4 other targeting flags similarly picked up in games this weekend. I suppose the eagerness in calling is okay as long as they are doing a good job in overuling the call when applicable.

“What can you lead with then, your appendix?”

Arms is what I assume they’re going for there. Looked like helmet to helmet to me last night but I can’t find the good camera angle of it now.

Okay yeah, so, I drove down to Tucson with another dad of one of the girls in the suite that rooms with my daughter. We delivered a water cooler and 5, five-gallon-jugs of water so they actually have something to drink. Then we took our daughters out to get pizza and wings and back to the honor's dorm where I was given my dad-of-a-wildcat t-shirt and the 4 of us (turned into 7 of us as their friends joined us as we were walking) headed to the stadium for the 8PM kickoff vs Miss State. Me, another dad, surrounded by five 18/19 year old daughters.

My daughter and her friends are in the "Zona-Zoo." Apparently, you need to go to X-number of games (football and men's basketball) and you get priority student seating and well, that is where they sat. Us two dads, we got our own tickets and sat up in the rafters BUT we were on the 50 yard line which was nice. We wanted to sit by ourselves so we could actually chat about the game, let the girls enjoy the game with their comrades.

For people who are not familiar with the University of Arizona and early September night games (8PM, 94 degrees outside), it was pervert city. I was not familiar but I am NOW! I am 51 year old man surrounded by 18 and 19 year old girls, ALL OF THEM wearing Daisy Dukes and TUBE TOPS! And if you were not wearing a tube top, you wore a bikini top. I am like WHAT THE FUCK GIRLS! Does your DAD know he is dropping $32,000/year so you can wear a damn TUBE TOP or a THONG to a nationally televised game???? Flesh everywhere. Thank goodness I raised my daughter correct. She actually wore the WHOLE (un-cut-up) t-shirt over her short-shorts.

The school is nothing but girls. Its like, 5-to-1. There were virtually no boys in the stands, just girls in tube tops any my daughter in a COMPLETE t-shirt. And they few young men that were there, wore nothing on their chest except paint and roamed the stands with perpetual hard-ons. It was virtually a sea of near nakedness in the student section. It was like Lord of Flies if the boarding school of boys were stranded on the island with 5 boarding schools of girls. I am a dad of a daughter. And I looked at the other dad of a daughter right in the eye. This was making the two of us very uncomfortable. Fortunately, we were nowhere near the student section so we could focus on this football game which (as it turns out) made us even MORE uncomfortable!

(sigh) Getting old

Okay so parent's weekend is in 3 weeks, the Oregon game. If they do no better than this did last night, the Ducks will take us out to the fucking woodshed and they will fuck us right in the ass. I'm still going to go to the game (most likely) but hopefully, by mid-October, the girls will put the tube tops away and wear actual.... clothes.

Your definition of cheap shot might need to be looked at. They both led into it and virtually nothing happened. TJ Watt is probably the best player in the NFL. Could have destroyed Burrow any of 5 different ways if he really wanted to there.

Nice reaction time by Burrow in that clip though. Doesn't appear that Watt was on his radar too much at the beginning. Then he leaned in, Burrow saw it and immediately recognized whatever he had in mind to do wasn't going to happen, and just absorbed the block. Heads up dude. Wish he played for my team.
