The university announced that Kevin Steele will serve as acting head coach while a search firm seeks out their next head coach. If you remember, Steele was Auburn’s interim head coach only 16 days ago. The month of January is still young. There is still time for Steele to become a three-time interim head coach in the first month of 2021.

Word is that UGA has been sloppy too.
Over the years, the rumor has been that football programs have long had a tacit agreement that bag men stayed away from on campus events and kept payments at certain levels. The former was/is to keep a certain amount of plausible deniability and the latter was to keep folks from going too crazy.
As desperate as UT has been to be relevant again and as desperate as Smart is to avoid looking like Richt 2.0, I bet they were/are going overboard, I suspect that A&M, Clemson, Bama, Ohio State, Auburn, LSU and/or Florida ratted them out.
