In the case of the NRA, Wayne LaPierre used extravagant amounts of money to fund a lifestyle no one should have - Caribbean trips, $3K suits, makeovers for his wife - its goes on and on.

I joined the NRA back in the early 2000's for one year. After getting my membership fee, the total interaction I had with them was them constantly soliciting more money from me to fight anit-gun legislation. I was done after that.
