Is Jameis Winston already the most overrated player of all time?

Winston has a long way to go to catch up to Johnny Football in the over rated cartgory.

Shut your dirty trap. Johnny Manziel is the greatest player in the history of college foozball!

Bryce Petty has the highest QB rating. Give it to him. Or not. Not a huge fan of individual awards - especially those with nebulous selection criteria.

I was the least excited Bama fan I know when Ingram won it.

If Bama had 7 Heisman trophies sitting around in a display case somewhere, you'd probably care a whole lot.

Unfortunately, for many years the Heisman voters didn't care for explicit, raw racism. Thus, Bama was snubbed for decades.

It's unfortunate that the Heisman voters didn't care for explicit, raw racism?

DSL,

No I wouldn't. That doesn't even make sense. Why would having 7 instead of 1 change the nature of the award or the things I dislike about it?

I think he's implying that if Bama players had won it more often, it would've affected the way you feel about the award in a positive direction...

I think AA is happy how things have turned out.

That doesn't make sense to me, hedge.

I'm not a fan of the Oscars either. I have no idea how many Alabamians have won one, but would I like the Oscars if they have eon several as opposed to one? No, of course not. It's silly.

The Heisman is an individual award given originally by some fatcat, private-club New Yorkers who wanted to party and draw attention to their club.

"That doesn't make sense to me, hedge."

I didn't say it made sense, I said I thought that's what he was implying...

I know you didn't say it made sense; I was simply stating that I....you know what, nvmd.

I only posted that to sass DSL. However, in his defense, it is difficult if not impossible to say how ones opinions of nationally recognized awards might be altered had players from ones team won many of them. I know you can say "No, my opinion wouldn't be any different than it is now under any circumstances", but how can one really know the root causes and myriad influences that have gone to make up our opinions on anything? The bitterness that comes from perceived slights, the joy from vicarious glory, the quiet pride from years of dedication, the indifference from years of sloth and neglect? The list is nearly endless...

I hate to say it, but if they don't give it to Manziel again, they should stop giving the damn thing out. He has the most impressive numbers in college football.
