So this summer Corker made comments about Trump being unfit for his office, knowing that he wouldn't seek reelection in 2018 and, unlike several of his colleagues, he wouldn't pay a political price for saying what they were all thinking.

So Trump tweets yesterday that Corker begged him recently to endorse him and when The Donald refused, Corker has turned on him. Whereas Corker's office says the prez called this week asking Bob to reconsider his retirement and offering his support. (And then Corker's tweet about somebody missing their shift at the adult daycare was a political burn for the ages.)

Point being, Corker doesn't have a history of lying whereas Trump is his own category of whoppers-told. This particular fight also means Trump potentially loses a key vote on matters dear to him. And you wonder how many of these dustups have a cumulative effect on our CiC....stress-wise, mentally and all that. If he's revenge-tweeting at 3:40 in the morning, that can't be good, can it?

It is funny how all the movie stars bitch about gun control but every event they go to or even their bodyguards are packing heat. That is what just slays me.

Real issue is mental illness and police being harassed at doing their jobs. Over the past two weeks there have been two different incidents in Indy. Both times, the parents / people involved have been told not to help the police or give their names. How the hell can police and prosecuting attorney do their jobs??? BUt yet they wonder why it happens in their neighborhood and to stop the violence.
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

My rendering is more up to date. You've been out for a long time.

And cat fights are great.

Almost all of this Russian meddling business is being uncovered by journalists. Tech companies are dragging their feet, either because they were naïve or passively complicit.

HILLARY CLINTON on Trump debate: Now, we were on a small stage, and no matter where I walked, he followed me closely, staring at me, making faces. It was incredibly uncomfortable. My skin crawled. It was one of those moments where you wish you could hit pause, and ask everyone watching, 'Well, what would you do?' Do you stay calm, keep smiling and carry on as if he weren't repeatedly invading your space? Or, do you turn, look him in the eye, and say loudly and clearly, 'Back up, you creep, get away from me'?

Weinstein sexually harassed many, many women. But I think we can all agree that Hillary was definitely NOT one of them. But that photo DOES proves that she has close ties Weintein. If we were to dig a little deeper, "I guarantee you" that at some point, someone from her campaign met with some of Weinstein's people. And that meeting just proves that she was part of his sexual harassment cabal. And when you add to that her close ties to Houma Abedin, whose husband was habitually sexting underage girls, then you a wide ranging sexual misconduct network with Hillary right in the middle of it. Connect the dots, people. It's right there in front of you.

This scandal needs an investigation and a special prosecutor too. Somebody knows something, and they have a story to tell. All it takes is one to flip, and the whole house of cards will come crashing down.

Weinstien was fired for his sexual predations. Trump is arguably just as big a predator but he still gets to call himself LotFW.

The cutesy-awful play on the Russian investigation is some of your best work ever though. ttfwiw

I'm sure all the Constitutional scholars in here support and revere the 25th Amendment just as much as they do the 2nd...

I'm surprised that none of the patriots in here have mentioned Trump's attack on the first amendment yesterday. Party over country I guess.

Just got back from a couple of days in the woods and off the grid. So I'm just getting caught up.

When Trump tweeted...
With all of the Fake News coming out of NBC and the Networks, at what point is it appropriate to challenge their License? Bad for country!
...and...
"Network news has become so partisan, distorted and fake that licenses must be challenged and, if appropriate, revoked," he tweeted. "Not fair to public!"
Let me say this:

While I agree that the MSM is completely and totally and unprofessionally hostile to Trump, and often makes stuff up to "get him," the solution is not a governmental takeover of the media by either party. Not now, not ever. If a Democrat were to start talking about revoking FCC licenses of outlets whose news was slanted against their side, I would freak out.

This is crazy talk, which is sadly common when Trump tweets. I don't support such crazy talk at all.
