The school resource officer, who hid outside while the shooter murdered school kids unopposed for 4 minutes, couldn’t hang. But he should.

^This is a good court ruling. I'd leave the Dreamers alone.

Better court ruling:

Supreme Court rules detained immigrants not entitled to periodic bond hearings

Best court ruling:

Judge, once berated by Trump, rules in favor of border wall waivers

In 2013, the year before Cruz entered high school, the Broward County school system scrapped and rewrote its discipline policy to make it much more difficult for administrators to suspend or expel problem students, or for campus police to arrest them for misdemeanors– including some of the crimes Cruz allegedly committed in the years and months leading up to the deadly Feb. 14 shooting at his Fort Lauderdale-area school.

To keep students in school and improve racial outcomes, Broward school Superintendent Robert W. Runcie – a Chicagoan and Harvard graduate with close ties to President Obama and his Education Department – signed an agreement with the county sheriff and other local jurisdictions to trade cops for counseling. Instead of the criminal justice system, students charged with various misdemeanors, including assault, were referred to counseling, which included participation in “healing circles,” obstacle courses and other “self-esteem building” exercises.

Asserting that minority students, in particular, were treated unfairly by traditional approaches to school discipline, Runcie’s goal was to slash arrests and ensure that students, no matter how delinquent, graduated without criminal records.

It looks like the self-esteem classes and healing circles didn't work for him.

I truly am a sufferer of TDS. It's just all too much, really. There are so many scandals spinning where do you begin?

I'm thinking of switching to Faux News and tuning out the noise. Are they still doing daily car chases over there?

The name doesn't sound Russian, so he couldn't be too bad.

In other news, looks like a "purple Texas" is still a LOOOOOOOOONG way off.

The democrats will likely pick up some house seats. Hell, depending on who wins the republican primary runoff, it's looking like I may vote democrat in TX-2 but its probably safe regardless. I'm basically not going to vote for a rep who lives in the suburbs, the district is an asinine gerrymandered mess with the western part of central Houston on one end, and very far out suburbs on the other end.

However the ongoing fantasy that Beto O'Rourke has any prayer of unseating Ted Cruz is absurd fantasy. O'Rourke is going to get crushed by 20 points minimum, IMO.

TDS reporting on Kim’s statement about denuclearization, nuclear and missile tests:

MSNBC’s Evelyn Farkas: “Because remember what got them to the table: the sanctions and UNFORTUNATELY probably some of the BLUSTER coming out of the White House.”

If a Democrat president had won that - even verbal - concession, the media would be prostrating themselves in worship.

More talking heads to explode...

The U.S. created 313,000 new jobs in February, the biggest gain since mid-2016 and a reflection of the strongest labor market in two decades. Economists polled by MarketWatch had predicted a 222,000 increase in nonfarm jobs. The unemployment rate was unchanged at 4.1%. Hourly pay rose 4 cents, or 0.1%, to $26.75 an hour, the government said Friday.

So how would you say these stats affect the poverty epidemic in the US? Is this a big or small improvement? Are there significantly more Americans with decent paying jobs and benefits moving forward? Or do these numbers just reflect a few trickle down crumbs falling after the huge wealth grab we just saw, i.e. the Trump tax cuts for the rich? And follow up question, how long do you think the average Trump supporter is going to be fooled by this nonsense before he or she realizes nothing has really changed?
