Well, looks like Morey got his chu'ch boy from Boston to be the new man at Toyota Center.

His transition defense was horrible.

I can't see Kemba Walker falling below #10 and yet that's what I'm seeing in a number of mocks (not that NBA mocks are worth a damn to begin with).

I wouldn't mind seeing Jordan Hamilton go to the Rockets @ #23. Probably no better than bench fodder but with some discipline he could be a reliable guy off the bench.

The Rockets now have four of the Top 11 picks from the 2009 draft on their roster. Amusing.

Did the Oilers have the worst fight song of all time and in any sport? Discuss:

I didn't know this until I went to the NFL HoF induction weekend a couple of years ago, but apparently the Dolphins had a song using this same tune. I heard it at one of the pregame get-togethers they had for us and did a double-take...sounded just like the one above, just had Miami Dolphins instead of Houston Oilers.

I'm going on the record and saying that there will be no NBA games until the 2012 calendar year. I wouldn't put the likelihood of the season being completely scrubbed at over 50% at this point, but it is a realistic possibility. The timing is bad for the NBA because it is more watchable now than at any time in the post-Bird/Magic to Jordan era. I actually went to a good number of Rockets games last year and enjoyed it.

The only part that would really suck about it is no playoffs...NBA playoffs get me through the last couple of months of the school year.

yeah, there is an argument between Oiler fans and Dollphin fans about which used the tune first

The story is that the writer of the song pitched it to a number of teams, merely changing the team names as suitable. The Oilers and Dolphins apparently signed off on it at the same time and claimed as "theirs", regardless.

I think the Luv Ya Blue era and its garrishness gave more people the idea that the song really did belong to the Oilers but the Dolphins used it quite a bit in the early 70s when they were winning titles.
