I love this: Oregon QB, Darron Thomas, "I was asleep."

So, let's see here...a friend is racing a car down the road at 118 mph AND smoking pot while a police car with lights and siren barrels down the road to pull you over....and you are taking a nap and didn't wake up until the car is completely stopped and the cop is standing next to the car? You would have to be all kinds of fucked up for that to be plausible.

Bonus points: This same guy was a passenger when Oregon LB Eddie Pleasant crashed while street racing (Thomas was not cited).

Bonus, bonus points: This same guy was a passenger when Jeremiah Masoli was pulled over and arrested for marijuana (Thomas was not cited).

Bonus, bonus, bonus points: The car that was being driven in this latest incident is likely a NCAA violation. It is a rental car that was provided to a player by a University employee.

RB Lache Seastrunk granted release
Oregon paid Houston-based Willie Lyles and Complete Scouting Services $25,000 last year soon after Seastrunk committed to play for the Ducks. When Oregon released the recruiting material it received for the payment, much of the information appeared to be outdated.

Hmmmm.

The football Ducks of Oregon are something new. They didn't get people to watch because they got good. They got good because they got people to watch. They are college sports' undisputed champions of the 21st century's attention economy.

Oregon may well win this game impressively-- they have a way of blowing people away in the second half, and Cal's had virtually no answer for LaMichael James. But this Oregon defense doesn't have a lot of size or speed, and they don't have anybody that can physically match up with Keenan Allen. If Zach Maynard can just settle down and make good decisions, Cal can stay in this.

Well, Maynard couldn't settle down, Cal couldn't maintain the defensive effort, and now, like so many before them, they're getting blown out of Autzen.

Impressed with the speed of Kenyon Barner. That's SEC speed.

Oregon's defense, though, does not have SEC speed. If the Ducks had been facing a better QB, they'd have been in real trouble tonight.

Please don't show that replay again. That was hideous.

Yeah. I've had a dislocated elbow. Happened in martial arts. It hurt very bad for 2 months and still is tricky till this day. Can't imagine he'll be back in the regular season.

Oregon lining up for a field goal to save its season. They've done brilliantly in the last thirty minutes or so just to give themselves a chance-- they were dead and buried with five minutes left in the third quarter.
