The top linebacker recruit in Texas flipped from Texas to Texas A&M yesterday, and Sumlin received a commitment from a top junior OL that was also a Texas target. The predictable meltdown has been delicious, especially since it appears that Texas fans forgot that Mack Brown was an amazing recruiter. I guess they just started assuming that recruits would continue to crawl to Texas just because they're Texas and that Brown had nothing to do with it.

The NonConference

North Texas
BYU
UCLA (Arlington)

BYU and UCLA are both solid to strong opponents. Significant upgrade from the old-school Mack Brown OOC's of Rice, Sam Houston, & LA-Lafayette

Barking Carnival goes ballistic on oSu-UT officials...

Post by JRB » Sun Sep 27, 2015 11:51 am

I know Barking Carnival isn't an unbiased site, nor would it ever claim to be, but I don't think I've ever seen an SBNation site seriously accuse a game of being rigged. Given the number of times it's been asserted that Texas gets all the calls in Big XII game, I think it's especially interesting that a Texas blog is making this claim.

Texas could have won that game but it would have been an against the grain victory. Oklahoma State did everything they could to giftwrap the game for Texas. Texas scored twice on ridiculous turnovers. If anybody looked like they were trying to throw the game it was oSu QB Mason Rudolph. Texas is just pathetically overmatched. Even Rice outgained Texas by like 200 yards. Their offense is ranked 111th ion the nation, and their defense is ranked 114th. They are fucking bad, if anything it would have been incredible if they had actually somehow beaten Cal and oSu. Without an unsustainable turnover margin they could be 0-4 with 4 Notre Dame type blowouts.
