He's 28, but his former roommate Tony Joiner is 30. Try and keep up, Skippy.

So did another one of Tebow's college roommates kill someone?

Re: Florida State Seminoles
Another great class by Fisher and crew - this may be the best top-to-bottom he's had. 17 4-star's? Wow.
And another disappointing class for the school out east.

Re: Alabama Crimson Tide
Aside from the long touchdown, Clemson would gladly accept Henry's 3 YPC any day of the week. Henry's too good to be completely shut down but CU's defense was excellent last night.

Re: Alabama Crimson Tide
Gotta give Kiffin a lot of credit. His usage of Howard was masterful. Clemson had a fantastic game plan as well, neutralizing Bama's huge advantage on the D-line and moving Watson around enough to let him make plays. Great, great game. I was rooting for Clemson - Watson is from our area and I have s...

Re: Alabama Crimson Tide
Watson is faster than 10 of the 11 of our starters on D. If we lose contain on him, we lose the game. Really? Watson is NOT a speed guy. His speed is just like every other part of his game - good enough but not elite. But when you package up a lot of really good attributes and very few bad ones int...

Re: Florida Gators
LSU deserved a better opponent. High school teams could put up 35 on Texas Tech. It's too bad they culdn't have played Baylor instead...would've been more fun to watch. Let UNC & Tech wail away at each other and wind up with a 63-57 Final But Kingsbury is so damned handsome...who the hell cares...

Re: Alabama Crimson Tide
This should be a good NC game. Clemson's defense is good enough to hold Bama's offense in check (not shut them out, just hold them to 30 or so). Bama's front 7 is good enough to shut down Gallman and the loss of Deon Cain hurts their WR corps significantly, but they'll be able to throw some quicker ...

Re: Florida State Seminoles
Just when I thought Maguire was becoming a serviceable QB...yesterday happens. My dear GOD he was awful. Statistically he was OK until he got hurt, but he still missed wide open receivers consistently and was bailed out by a pretty bad UH pass defense. And with the trouble the OL was having getting ...

Re: Auburn Tigers
We were sure sorry to see him go, though that was back during the Lost Decade when most of our coaching staff was horrible. Clemson wasn't particular upset at his departure though ("West Virginia scores again!"). I guess he went from one lame duck coach to another so he didn't have much to...

Re: Florida State Seminoles
True, though we won't be able to enjoy the extra activities that are a lot of fun. I am driving back home late the previous night, and then the game starts at noon. I took my youngest who was a UGA fan at the time to the UGA/Nebraska Capital One bowl 3 years ago. All the pre-game activities were as ...

Re: Florida State Seminoles
I'm going to be taking my middle son and his friend to the game after all - should be fun. We weren't sure of the exact schedule in Ft. Myers but we'll be done before noon and after heading back to the hotel to clean up, we should make it back to GA by 10 or 11pm (if traffic isn't as bad as it was o...

Re: Auburn Tigers
Oh I agree, I think they're both in a great spot right now. But really there was nothing said negatively about Pruitt until his co-ed indiscretions at FSU came to light so he may have been pretty under the radar until then. Kiffin has been smart to lay low and just do his job - he'll be in line for ...

Re: Auburn Tigers
I heard Kelly turned us down. Pruit went over to the Dark Side. So I have no idea who our next DC will be. I don't think there's any chance Pruitt was EVER going to end up at AU. He's a Bama guy through and through, if Saban hadn't offered him the job it would have been Meatchicken. On the bright s...

Re: Auburn Tigers
I don't know how good he is. Hell, nobody really does - he's had two years on the job, one underachieving and one overachieving. But the chance to make more in 3 years than you've earned your entire lifetime is hard to turn down. Don Brown at BC would be an excellent hire for one of the bigger progr...

Re: Auburn Tigers
Supposedly AU has upped the ante on the Charles Kelly sweepstakes and are offering well over double his current salary (which was scheduled for a hefty bump anyway). In addition they're offering a 3 year contract so even if Gus gets canned he'd be in a good position. It'll be interesting... Of cours...

Re: Florida State Seminoles
Once you get to the higher echelons of minor league ball, AAA and such, the pay is pretty good (minimum is $2150 but most make 2-4x that much) but the guy I referenced earlier bounced around rookie league/single-A for 7 or 8 seasons. He got a 6 figure signing bonus even though he was a low round dra...

Re: Florida State Seminoles
How much does the average minor league player make? Very, very little - like $1500-$2000/month (only while playing). They have to live off their signing bonus to an extent, side jobs tutoring and coaching, etc. They get a per diem while on the road that helps but they generally have to live togethe...
