Of course Clemson looked like crap against Troy also, so it's hard to see if their very potent offense is truly having problems or is just disinterested (this happens after a great season - see FSU 2014).
"we finally seem to have a good one in Steele" - ask a Clemson fan about that one.

Re: Tennessee Volunteers
Bonus points for the proper use of "you're", an absolute rarity amongst today's youth.
And the poor spelling reminded me of a pickup line my (then) ten year old came up with - "Are you from fourandahalfasee? Cause you're the only four and a half I see"

Re: Florida State Seminoles
FSU's next opponent, Charleston Southern, has had to suspend upwards of thirty players, including the entire starting offensive line, for tomorrow's game. What hideous sins have these young men committed? They were advised by school bookstore employees to use whatever portion of their scholarship b...

Re: Florida State Seminoles
Not all phases of the game were lacking...our freshman punter/kicker and freshman FG kicker were on point all night. It feels like our coaching staff doesn't game plan at all. "We're going to run our normal offense and defense and see if it works", then they adjust at halftime and look lik...

I just hope there is excellent cell coverage in Bristol because there are going to be about 100,000 people there on the Watch ESPN app because they can't see shit on the field from their seats.

Re: Florida Gators
Del Rio has a very weak arm for the level of competition he'll be facing, and Calloway is the only elite talent at WR (we'll see about Wells and Cleveland now that they're back). McElTeeth is going to have to scheme every week to get his WRs open enough for the QB to be successful. He needs to watch...

Re: South Carolina Gamecocks
Recruiting was not a strong suit of Spurrier - he had gotten too close to the end to really give a shit what 18 year olds thought of him. So by hiring an elite recruiter in Muschamp, you're setting up the next regime for success if they can coach well (see Ron Zook/Urban Meyer). USCe has seen that a...

Re: Tennessee Volunteers
UT won't go any further with Butch. There's a sizable contingent here who think the jury is still out wrt Butch. The fact that he gave away the OU and UF games last year and tried to defend the undefensible still grates. Just own the fuck-ups and learn from it (ie: don't fucking do it again). He re...

It takes a lot of beer to get rid of that "I'm in Macon" feeling though.

Re: Auburn Tigers
I hope John Franklin has some success at AU but it's surprising to see fans so excited about him. He seems like a great kid and worked very hard at FSU, and was integral in helping prepare the defense for dual-threat QBs on the scout team, but was never going to play at down at that position at Flor...

Rooting for the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers today. My son was not interested in them (though they've contacted him several times) because they're not ACC/SEC but since ACC/SEC isn't showing much interest, he's now intrigued by these smaller schools with proven coaches.

Re: Georgia Bulldogs
Why? If they'd signed with FSU they would have been booted off the team and resurfaced at Akron. Now they'll have a chance to end up at Auburn like everyone else getting kicked off UGA.

Re: Alabama Crimson Tide
I agree that Vandy would be a good fit in the B1G but they already have a purple version of Vandy. And I don't think they'd have any reason to further split their pot with a program that brings very little to the athletic table. Kentucky would push the ACC to even further heights in roundball - seei...

Re: Florida State Seminoles
Truth is, you need some bottom feeders. If everyone in the conference is well above average at football you'll end up with even more "bad losses". Even if the conference champion goes 11-1 (how many undefeated season has the almighty Bama had under Saban?), that one loss might now be to a ...

Re: Florida State Seminoles
The #1 Sophomore kid ended up pitching last night instead of Friday night. My son went 2-3 with a walk, single, stand-up triple, SB, 2RBI and a run scored in a 6-5 loss. Fortunately since it was a Monday and not a Friday, there were some college scouts watching.

Re: Florida State Seminoles
UVa keeps sending him camp invitations but it's too damn far to make it to one of their camps, and the way my son has slacked off in the classroom this year there's no way they'd take him.

Re: Florida State Seminoles
My son faces the #1 rated HS Sophomore prospect in the nation tonight. A hard-throwing righty with regular velo in the low 90s. It's an away game but I'm hoping to be able to watch.
Pray for him...
