Wherever he is now has certainly improved for him being there.

I'll try to find mail addresses for some of the other folks from WC that played and send something out this weekend to gauge interest.

Re: New York Knicks ...The revival!

This week, on AS THE WORM TURNS...

Jeezus. Dolan had to make that offer knowing Walsh wouldn't accept it. Meaning Dolan had someone ready to step in. Was that Zeke, who now says he's not interested?
Or does Dolan believe there won't be a season and as such isn't sweating?

Re: New York Knicks ...The revival!

WTF? This one's on Walsh. Dolan offered an extension and Walsh declined. He's the damned team president - we all know he has health issues, so in a couple of years you begin to delegate you moron, cultivate a successor yourself... don't just tell us how much you wanted to continue as you walk away. ...

Re: The Dallas Mavs - Who'd A Thunk It?

No kidding. Give Paul, a guy able to actually operate a half-court offense, the keys and OKC would have to perenially be considered a WC championship possibility. Putting him in NY prolly makes them the no. 3 seed and they go down in the conference semifinals to a team that plays defense.

Re: Puterbac News Network and Political Discussion Thread

Ten times the lowest paid employee probably harkens back to pre-Industrialized America. But God bless ol' Ben and Jerrys anyway. And this time it's not just another annual rant about CEOs making umpteen times more than their workers - it's the fact that they made out like bandits during a killer re...

Re: Greg's Ramblings LIV

Pettifogging In the later middle ages, there was a class of lawyers who earned their livings making a great deal of fuss over minor legal cases. About 1560 they came to be called pettifoggers. They often had limited concern for scruples or conscience and the term was deeply contemptuous. Petty, the...

Working so couldn't see the game, but it looks like Dallas needed all of his scoring as OKC kept coming until the end.

24 for 24 from the line - any questionable or downright blown calls among those?

Re: Chuck's Reading Room

Nearly halfway through a manga series called The Silent Service by Kaiji Kawaguchi. Reading it in Japanese so it's taking forever but it's worth it because it's so well done. "The U.S. and a shadow Japanese government develop Japan's first nuclear-powered submarine to help protect Japan's sea l...
