Re: Puterbac News Network and Political Discussion Thread

Hack, I’m extremely glad to see you have returned. Please stick around. The Leftist barbarians are always at the gates around here, and we can always use more help fending them off. I do like to think of myself as moderate, but don't we all? Not me. In the current political environment, I now agree...

Re: Puterbac News Network and Political Discussion Thread

You may not have been around at the time, but Hack used to call himself an “independent moderate” even though he was as Establishment Republican Bush-Cheney conservative as they come. Which was as ridiculous as me calling myself an “independent moderate” now. Adjust your irony detectors accordingly...

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. This place hasn't changed much.

Did I really ever have Derek Dooley as my avatar?

Re: Crashcourse's NASCAR and Manning > Brady Regurgitation

Manning becomes just the 3rd QB in NFL history to throw for 400 TDs. And he did it in fewer games than the other two guys.

Re: Tennessee Volunteers

I have no idea what to expect in next week's game. I'm glad that Florida won't have the extra motivation that they most surely would have had if they had been beaten today. And I think we've shown enough room for improvement in our first 2 games that we won't be over-confident. Other than that, who ...

Good to see you again, TNV. Let the record show that I was not the one to bring this up.

I suspect that AA has calculated this as a way to put us off of our celebration of last night's win. It won't work.

Re: Tennessee Volunteers

AA: "If he was bobbling that ball a frame or two after that snapshot, the field refs and the replay refs were correct - no TD." Wrong. The relevance of Updyke's history as anything other than an Alabama fan was always the only issue to me. It was silly of you to bring it up as a means to d...

Re: Tennessee Volunteers

It seems likely that alcohol will turn out to have played a role, although I realize it's probably inappropriate to speculate. Considering the circumstances, I think we'll all be surprised if it turns out not to be. One of my good friends, who I golf with regularly, almost died many years ago under ...
